NWPX

NWPX Infrastructure (previously known as, and now parent company of Northwest Pipe Company) is the leading manufacturer of large diameter water transmission pipe. NWPX Infrastructure encompasses four brands, Northwest Pipe Company, NWPX Geneva, NWPX Park, and Permalok, and together, these brands provide engineered solutions for a wide range of water, wastewater, and infrastructure applications.

As senior graphic designer on the small, tight-knit marketing team, my responsibility is to create on-brand collateral and content to support the sales, leadership and HR teams as well as internal and external communications with the primary goal to support marketing objectives, strategies, programs, and policies.

Print remains a foundational marketing tool across teams, departments, and campaigns. In this role, I designed a wide range of print materials — from stickers and business cards to signage and tactile, handheld pieces. Each item was crafted to align with brand standards while enhancing the user experience through thoughtful, purposeful design.

NWPX is prideful of our emloyees and due to this, have a lot of fun and impactful internal collateral. Northwest Passages is a biannually- printer zine mailed to employees homes.

Signage | Large Scale | Experiential / Brand Activation

Background

All the NWPX brands maintain a strong presence at conferences, tradeshows, and industry presentations. NWPX Geneva (formerly Geneva Pipe and Precast) sought to amplify its brand visibility and create a more immersive, memorable presence in these competitive spaces. The challenge was to transform a standard trailer into a dynamic, fully branded marketing tool—one that could be transported across events and serve as both a visual statement and an interactive brand experience.

Solution

The project delivered a fully branded mobile environment, featuring custom exterior wraps and an immersive interior experience. My role spanned from early cleanup and design strategy through rounds of refinements and hands-on installation. The final trailer became a traveling brand activation—an immersive, cohesive space that elevated NWPX Geneva’s presence across industry events.

Social is my fun place so when I when I came on board I made it a point to make an NWP instagram account. I find social as the design playground of brand management so I knew this would be a place to push the NWPipe brand a little. I wanted to take on the processional, yet approachable voice in the content and create engaging and educational content to tap into a new audience. Water infrastrucutre is so much more than most people know so sharing all the cool info was the goal for this platform.

A dynamic, visually engaging deck created monthly to inform and connect employees across all plant and office locations. Content ranges from safety reminders and holiday messages to brand awareness and employee spotlights—delivered through an ever-evolving design system that keeps communication fresh and impactful.

ACTivate Internal Mentorship Programming

ACTivate is an internal leadership initiative designed to foster growth through workshops, mentorships, and ongoing communication. I developed the branding and identity for the program, which is reflected in a workshop deck designed to translate complex goals into a clear, engaging visual system that supports mentor/mentee collaboration.

Internal Training Decks

To support NWPX’s leadership and management workshops, HR requested a designed a series of training decks that balance engaging, on-brand visuals with full Microsoft PowerPoint compatibility. The result is a flexible, editable system that keeps presentations professional, dynamic, and user-friendly for HR-led courses.

NWPX Onboarding

A series of brand-specific onboarding decks designed for all new NWPX employees during their first week, customized across 4 brands and 15+ plant and office locations. Built entirely in PowerPoint to allow leadership flexibility, the deck delivers a cohesive, engaging brand introduction while remaining fully editable and easy to adapt for ongoing company use.

Misc. Other Projects

From conferences and product collateral to internal cross-department support, a wide range of design requests flow through regularly. These projects span everything from branded apparel and custom merchandise to unique one-offs like plant-specific logos and even socks—each reinforcing brand identity through thoughtful, creative execution.

NWPX Safety Initiative: 5 Alive

Born from a single conversation with the safety team, 5 Alive is an internal safety initiative supported by a dedicated brand and identity system that drives awareness across multiple programs. The initiative comes to life through digital collateral—such as workshops and monthly communication features—as well as printed touchpoints including in-plant banners, flyers, stickers, and apparel.
